Korean Panax Ginseng, also known as “True Ginseng”, is a plant which grows in Eastern Asia and Siberia. It shouldn’t be confused with American or Siberian Ginseng which are similar but haven’t been shown to provide all of the benefits of Panax Ginseng.

Recommended Dosage

We recommend using a dose of 2-4 500 mg capsules per day. We do not recommend exceeding a dose of 3,000 mg (6 capsules) per day as there are few studies on doses higher than this.

Korean Panax Ginseng Side Effects

Panax Ginseng is a safe and popular supplement that has not been found to show any toxicity even at high doses. That said, adverse side effects are sometimes reported and these are more common at higher doses.

Side effects reported include insomnia, menstrual issues, increased heart rate, headaches, and loss of appetite. These side effects are rare at the typical dose of 1,000 mg per day but get more common at doses over 2,000 mg.
